本稿は，2000年以降急進展を遂げたリカード貿易理論研究をリカードの「4つの魔法の数字」に象徴される2国2財の枠組みから脱却する営為と捉えて展望する。「4つの数字」の誤った解釈，「4つの数字」の部分のみに注目する狭い視野，需要供給価値説への転回，貿易前を想定する「事前的視点」といった棄却すべき対象を明らかにしたうえで,ミル父子によるリカード貿易理論改変が一般均衡理論の思考形式のひとつの起源となったことを論じる。
The paper reviews the study of the Ricardian trade theory, which has made rapid progress since 2000, from a standpoint of criticizing the framework of two-country two-good symbolized by so-called Ricardo's 'four magical numbers.' After clarifying the objects to be rejected, such as the incorrect interpretation of the 'four numbers,' the limited view of focusing only on the 'four numbers,' the reversion to the supply-and-demand theory of value, and the 'ex-ante perspective' assuming the pre-trade, it argues that the conversion of Ricardo's trade theory by James and John Stewart Mill can be presumed to be one of the origins of the pattern of thinking of the general equilibrium theory.
