ジャムシェードプルはタタによって計画された鉄鋼クラスターである。ジャムシェードプルでは公共サービスへの行政の関与度が非常に低く、市の運営をタタ・スチールの子会社であるJUSCOが担当している。本稿では、タタの都市計画と運営がクラスターの形成と発展にどんな影響を与えたのかについて、ジャムシェードプルの産業と関連機関、そして運営会社JUSCOの事例を調査・研究し、Porter（1998）の立地論的観点と、継続性観点から、鉄鋼クラスター・ジャムシェードプルを分析した。
Jamshedpur is a steel cluster that has been planned by Tata. The Involvement of the administration of public services is very low in Jamshedpur. And JUSCO that is a subsidiary of Tata Steel is in charge of management of the city. In this paper, I examined about what City Planning and Operations of Tata gave any effect on the formation and development of the cluster in Jamshedpur. And analyzed Jamshedpur from the perspective of location theory and the perspective of continuity of Porter (1998).
